  Thanks! Merci!

Under the name “C.R.U.S.H.” (Canadians Rallying to Unseat Stephen Harper), Canadians Defending Democracy has already run ads in The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail (2), The Calgary Herald, The Embassy Hill Times, The Kitchener Waterloo Record, The Comox Valley News, The Edmonton Vue and the Wakefield Low Down. Placing ads in print media is very expensive and the more funds we have, the more we will be able to do in our campaign to unseat the Harper Government and restore democracy in Canada.

You can help us to deliver our message even farther by making a donation.

Please note that we are registered as a Third Party and must report to Elections Canada after the election. Since all of the proceeds that we receive go directly to pay for political advertising (except for a small amount set aside for accounting fees), donors must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. For more information please visit Elections Canada. If you are donating more than $200 in aggregate during the current election period and over the past six months, your name and address must be included in our report. In addition, because we are incorporated as a non-share capital corporation with the objects of advocacy, we are not eligible for charitable tax status. Therefore, your donations are not tax deductible.

The organizing team is fully aware of the trust that you have placed in them, and, collectively, they will work to ensure that your donations are directed solely to the Canadians Defending Democracy stated mission.

We have periodically posted an accounting of our donations and expenditures at the CRUSH Facebook page but please feel free to email us to request a copy at any time.

Footnotes (About PayPal)

*    PayPal acts as a credit card processor for Canadians Defending Democracy. If you have a PayPal account, you can donate to Canadians Defending Democracy through your PayPal account—including direct withdrawal from your bank account if you prefer—but you don't need a PayPal account to donate online to Canadians Defending Democracy. If you don't have a PayPal account you can simply donate using your credit card. PayPal will process your credit card payment and put your donation into Canadians Defending Democracy’s PayPal account, without divulging your credit card details to Canadians Defending Democracy.

**  Monthly donations (referred to as subscriptions) are managed through PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account to set up a monthly donation, but we strongly recommend that you do subscribe through a PayPal account as this allows you to cancel your subscription online, on your own, at anytime. If you don't have a PayPal subscription then you have to contact either us or PayPal to cancel your subscription. We can't speak for PayPal, but because we are an all-volunteer organization we cannot promise to have "operators standing by" all of the time.

The following are PayPal's instructions for cancelling a subscription:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Profile at the top of the page.
  3. Click My Pre-approved Payments in the Financial Information column.
  4. Click View the Agreement next to the merchant agreement you want to cancel.
  5. Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.

If you don’t have a PayPal account, you should contact the merchant directly to cancel the agreement. If you can’t contact the merchant, you should contact PayPal Customer Service by phone. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the PayPal website.
  2. Click Contact Us at the bottom of any page.
  3. Click Call Us, then click Continue for our Customer Service phone number.

PayPal has been owned by eBay since 2002.
